It?s a television series (I don?t know yet how many seasons there will be), and I must write and direct every episode.

The three main protagonists:

The Professor: Male. A 65 year old film director who never actually branched out and became mainstream but was subjected to bad luck and unfortunate circumstances that kept him in Texas throughout the majority of his life. He is also like a combination of Ignatius J Reilly from John Kennedy Toole?s A Confederacy of Dunces, Henry Chinaski from Charles Bukowski?s novels, Grady Tripp from Michael Chabon?s Wonder Boys, Kurt Vonnegut (the real life Kurt Vonnegut), Zach Galifinakis, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The Graduate Student: Female. 31 years old. Recently married. Everything is a crisis and a life or death situation. This character reminds me of a Robert Crumb character combined with some women I knew in real life such as Carolynn Calabrese (mostly her; yep, definitely her), with some elements of Alessandra Lichtenfeld and Artemis (I don?t know her last name; something Greek). She?s also like a female version of Barry Egan from Paul Thomas Anderson?s Punch Drunk Love.

The Undergraduate Student: Male. 18 years old. Has Asperger?s syndrome. Obsession with cinema. Encyclopedic knowledge of world cinema. Always scared of everything, especially the present and future. A combination of Woody Allen, Charlie Kaufman, Daniel Johnston, and others.
