Prayer on the Feast of the Annunciation

of the Blessed Virgin Mary

O God, Who wast pleased that the eternal Word,
according to the declaration of the angel,
should take flesh in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
Give to our humble petitions; and grant that we,
who believe her to be truly the Mother of God, may be helped by her prayers.

Through the same Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son,
Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Ghost,
one God, world without end.
