He was feared. He was lavish. He was rich. He was executive of his own company. He was an Oscar winning director. And he was one of the most powerful people in Hollywood. Emphasis on "one of the most".
He was a Titan.
When news of the FBI raiding his partners' studio offices in New York and Austin hit the airwaves on the morning news, and footage of his partners being escorted to black SUVs in handcuffs, he wasn't feeling so big. Especially considering some of those relationships were secret and not officially public record. They were private, confined to the realms of inside information amongst those top ranking in Hollywood and "in the loop". The FBI press conference also didn't help matters at all. FBI agents at the press conference in regards to the raids in New York and Austin stated they now had access to all of their bank statements, financial transactions, emails, videos, photos, text messages, computer files, website history, and Internet activity dating back to many years. "If you think it's gone, I assure you it isn't. You can try to hide it as much as you want, but you will be unsuccessful. We'll get it, and we'll get it all.", said the agent.
The Titan, in his bed in sunny California, watching this news broadcast, was having the biggest "Oh, fuck" moment any Titan could have.
Usually, he awakened to a peaceful sunny delight.
This sunrise was different, though.
The gods usually spared him.
Not this time. The Devil came to collect.
That's when he knew the raids were about to start in California that day.
He decided not to go to work that morning. His wife frantically recommended they get a criminal defense attorney on standby pronto. However, he resisted. He seemed to welcome whatever fate the gods may bring him that day. The wife on the other hand was freaking out. Panicking. All mister hot shot was, in contrast, was calm, cool, collected, and at peace.
Then he went for his usual morning walk.
It wasn't a normal walk.
It was instructions between him and the Israeli government in case something should happen like this.
If the raids ever happened, then he should promptly go for a walk along the trail like he usually does.
And that's what he did. All according to his final wishes and what was arranged.
During his walk, he was thinking about how things could have turned out so differently when he was fifty years younger. All of it led to this. Who would've knew? He wasn't panicking at all. He was listening to music on his phone, attached to his belt. Music he would regularly listen to when he was a teenager. That was a long time ago. In his elderly years, he looked at the river alongside the hiking trail. He went to the river. Bending down, he saw his reflection. He just focused on the music from his youth. He couldn't even hear the sound of the drone strike that took him out with one hit.
He fell down in the river as the drone sped away.
He couldn't testify at a court trial. And all ties between him and the Israeli government were forever buried. Now the news media would report this as merely a Hollywood scandal, minus the connection between the Big Kahuna at the top and the Israeli government.
The origin of this remained hidden once again.
